How To Install your Patio Enclosures
This video shows a sample of how easy it is to install our outdoor enclosures. Of course, different outdoor enclosures and custom setups will have different requirements. However, this video will give you a good idea about how most of our outdoor patio enclosures work.
A Little Heads-Up
Below are some basic instructions to go along with the video—but remember to never get frustrated or give up.
An outdoor patio enclosure can do wonders for you and your family. Aside from protecting you and your guests from bugs, foul weather, and all of Mother Nature’s nasties, a patio enclosure can also bring flair, beauty, and professionalism to your home or business. It’s a great way to add style and grace to any building, but you may not get everything right the first time.
That’s why it’s important to have a professional show you the ropes, which is where this video comes in handy. Hiring an expert costs time and money, and the more hours required, the more cash you’ll shell out at the end of the day.
This video is your expert—a source you can revisit several times, no matter how long it takes. It doesn’t matter if you need five, ten, or even fifty viewings. This video is here to guide you through the setup of your new patio enclosure.
Are you ready to get started? Let’s do this.
- Readying Parts, Tools, and Package Inspection
As simple as this step may seem, it’s arguably the most important. You’ll want to make sure everything you need is included in the box before you get started. You’ll also want to compare all the items in the package to the ones listed on the packing sheet included in your purchase.
If everything is in order, proceed to step two.
- Rigging Construction for an Outside Mount with Inward Rolling Curtain
Curtain number one is going to be on the left; number two is in the middle, and number three is on the right. Remember—you’ll always want to start on the outside of your patio or deck, looking inward. Otherwise, you’ll set up the curtains in the wrong order.
Lay out your curtain tracks by number, then measure and mark the curtain tracks with a header. After that, install the pulleys inside for an inward-rolling curtain with a drill, and loop the rope through each pulley. This is what will allow the curtains to hang.
The cut-sheet included in your purchase will give you more specific directions for handling this step.
- Curtain and D-Ring Installation
Install the curtains with the tie-down finger-straps facing inward. Start on the left and slide the welting onto the curtain track. Adjust the zipper chain, as necessary, once the first curtain is in place.
The bull-nose on the zipper should be facing down; then, just install the D-rings and repeat the steps, as necessary, for the remaining curtains.
- Weather Flap Installation
Once the weather flap zippers are engaged, locate the weather flap track and install it. From here, you should be able to unzip and open your curtains with the included pole-hook.
